Hristo Danov Gruev (27 August 1828-1811 December 1911) was an illuminator, teacher and publisher of the Bulgarian national. He was the father of publishing books and remembered as the "Bulgarian Gutenberg." After the liberation of Bulgaria in 1878, he was also a politician and mayor of Plovdiv.
