2023 – 5 Euro ITALY Environmental Protection BU

Obverse: Representation of a land that holds a seed on which runs the incipit of the art. 9 of the Italian Constitution on the protection of the environment and biodiversity; above, on the left, a caterpillar on a branch is preparing for its metamorphosis. On the lower part of the external frame, in copper, a texture pattern representing the ecosystems of nature. At the top the inscription “ITALIAN REPUBLIC”.

Reverse: Representation of a land in which a sprout comes to life on which the incipit of the art flows. 41 of the Italian Constitution which highlights the right and duty of every citizen to protect nature; in the background we can glimpse butterflies in flight that have completed their process of metamorphosis, an image that ideally connects to the obverse. Respectively to the left and to the right of the shoot, the value "5 EURO" and "2023", year of issue of the coin, and "R", identifying the Mint of Rome; in exergue, signature of the author E. FERRETTI. Coin with colored elements.
