WHY GRONCHI ROSA IS A GREAT RARITY?

The series of three values ​​was released for sale on April 3, 1961. In the afternoon of the same day, the withdrawal of 205 Lire was ruled due to an error in the printing of the borders with Peru.

The same value, but gray and with the borders of Peru touched up, was issued on April 6th. Of the 205 L. lilac there are 79,625 copies, of which 12.00 are applied on the envelope for the presidential flight.
